Every spring ECHO hosts a Young Artist Concerto Competition for musically talented middle and high school students located in the Houston area. The winner of the competition performs with the orchestra on the annual spring concert as a featured guest artist. It is part of ECHO’s mission to foster young talent in the Houston area and to inspire other young musicians. The competition and performance is an educational experience for young artists as well as for the orchestra.
